We’ve all seen people misreading and misusing scripture. Sometimes those people even use the Bible to justify terrible things like slavery or genocide! How are we to avoid doing the same? How are we as 21st Century followers of Jesus supposed to relate to this collection of two-thousand-year-old documents that we call the New Testament?
There’s no easy formula to reading and interpreting the New Testament, but in this five-part course, we are going to dive into the major questions surrounding modern Biblical interpretation. Practically speaking, we’ll talk about how to study your Bible without falling into some all-too-common interpretive fallacies.
The courses will consist of five one-hour lessons, both live-streamed and available for on-demand streaming for the six months following the course.
