Kairos Elective courses pack the best of Biblical scholarship into exciting five-part courses available both live and on-demand. These are not language courses, and no prerequisite knowledge of Greek or Hebrew is required.

BEGINS APRIL 19

  • The Story of the Old Testament is a five-part course that explores the story and themes of the Hebrew Bible to discover where we fit in this grand narrative. The Old Testament can often feel disjointed and confusing if you are not familiar with the people, places, and events. However, these scriptures reveal one coherent story of how God interacts with his people in his creation.

BEGINS MAY 9

  • Understanding the World of the New Testament is a five-part course that dives into the history and culture of the New Testament world and shows how it changes the way we read Scripture. Who were the Pharisees? What was Roman Citizenship, and why did it matter for Paul? What was a “Zealot?” Why are there so many Herods and how are they related? Why was the New Testament written in Greek? This class will address these key questions, as well as many more.

COMING SOON

  • Five Big Debates in New Testament Studies is a five-part course that explores the most fascinating questions in current New Testament Scholarship. We’re not here to solve these complex issues for you. We simply hope that seeing the ways that New Testament scholars answer these questions will drive you deeper into the text and toward your own informed conclusions.

  • The Book of Revelation is both deeply practical and a great summary of the theology of the New Testament. Its purpose is not to give us a detailed timeline of future events, but a Christ-centered vision of our present suffering as we await the fullness of our victory in Christ. This course will consist of five one-hour lessons, both live-streamed and available for on-demand streaming.
